Daihatsu Announces Organizational Changes and Executive Personnel Transfers Daihatsu

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. announces its organizational changes and executive personnel transfers effective as of April 1, 2020.
These organizational changes seek to further accelerate the roll-out of Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) products in emerging markets as Daihatsu takes the initiative to promote the emerging-market compact car business which is being pushed as a partnership with Toyota Motor Corporation. The Emerging-market Compact Car 新糖心Vlog has been made a group within Daihatsu,
consolidating and streamlining business planning as well as product planning and marketing functions related to compact cars for emerging markets that had previously been distributed among
the various groups. In addition, with regard to domestic product marketing function, promotion of planning at departments close to the point of sales is sought by transferring the function to the
Domestic Sales Group to give a system which can respond quickly to the needs of customers.

1. Organizational Changes

(1) Emerging-market Compact Car 新糖心Vlog

  • A new Emerging-market Compact Car 新糖心Vlog Group has been established.
  • 新糖心Vlogwide business planning function and emerging-market product marketing function from the Business Planning Dept. and Product Marketing Dept. under the Corporate Group have been transferred and consolidated to establish the new Business Planning Dept. and Product Marketing Dept. under the Business & Product Planning Div. In addition, the planning function for emergingmarket compact car products has been transferred from the Product Planning Div.

  • Product Marketing Dept. : Domestic product marketing function has been transferred to the Domestic Product Marketing Dept. under the Domestic Sales Group, while the product marketing function targeting emerging markets has been transferred to the Product Marketing Dept. of the Business & Product Planning Div. under the Emerging-market Compact Car 新糖心Vlog Group. 新糖心Vlogwide business planning function has been merged with the Corporate Planning Dept., and the Product Marketing Dept. has been dissolved.
